TL;DR: Allegedly, Kawai was sponsored by Daktronics, the company that made the scoreboard for the Intuit Dome.
Saw somewhere else bring up that ballmer was already fined for something like this was Deandre Jordan. Really don’t see how you can just give him another slap on the wrist.
Way too many instances of Kawhi getting paid to do nothing for them to not take picks at least, really may need to suspend Kawhi for a year too at this point.
Will there even be any consequences though?
I think Silver's going to have to do something to save face. You know Stephen A right? He's been defending Ballmer the whole time, trying to spin the story as Kawhi's fault the whole time. I believe he's Ballmer's mouthpiece. He finally said something saying it's still Kawhi's fault, but Ballmer has to face a ban of a year from NBA. So basically I think that's Ballmer's opening offer to the NBA for punishment.
