I’ve been enjoying this feature between my iPhone and my Mac for over a decade and a half… I’ve forgotten that it doesn’t exist elsewhere.

KDE Connect has this feature and it works between macOS, iOS, Windows, Android, Linux and SailfishOS

That's only for files. Regardless, it works flawlessly heck even better than airdrop and quickshare

Amusingly, Android and Windows have a similar feature that's been pretty reliable for the times on actually using windows.
