Time to dust off this classic:

This thead is useless without pics.

[–] mechoman444@lemmy.world 4 points 14 hours ago

How do we know they're specifically lesbians?

[–] UltraGiGaGigantic@lemmy.ml 2 points 14 hours ago
[–] LovableSidekick@lemmy.world 3 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Well it was bound to break out somewhere.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 1 points 14 hours ago

Such a shame it had to be there and not here… I could've had a particularly fun workout today

[–] eestileib@sh.itjust.works 90 points 1 day ago (4 children)

Ok as a lesbian I just want to say that this is not a Lollapalooza specific thing, this kind of thing is not uncommon.

[–] VitoRobles@lemmy.today 2 points 16 hours ago (2 children)

Wait are you saying lesbians as a whole will just see a pile of mud and have a intrinsic urge to wrassle?

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 1 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago)

I mean kinda yeah at least enough of us do

[–] eestileib@sh.itjust.works 1 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

I prefer being beaten with a stick by a beautiful girl, personally, but yes, many lesbian flirtation displays involve relatively stupid relatively low stakes violence.

Just like many straight courtship displays.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 3 points 13 hours ago

Yeah the stupid, silly, and more adventurous flirtation is usually in certain types of space, but when I see it happening I feel so at home. Two girls making eyes at each other over a stupid feat of strength or toughness or whatever else gets me to let my guard down

[–] Pudutr0n@lemmy.world 64 points 1 day ago (2 children)

i know! It's so disrespectful that these places get so much attention, but there are so many! Let's list all the places that gather this outrageous attention!

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 16 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Renaissance festivals usually have a very lively adults only section in the primitive camping area.

[–] grue@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Your renaissance festival has camping? The one in my area is more like a theme park than a LARP.

[–] lyrial@anarchist.nexus 10 points 1 day ago (4 children)

Dame here. It kind of sucks and isn't worth going to more than a couple of times unless you have a giant wad of cash burning a hole in your wallet. They have permanent buildings and all of the acts and shops are the same every year.

[–] UndulyUnruly@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Dame here.

Ah yes. Her Excellency, Dame lyrial.

[–] lyrial@anarchist.nexus 3 points 1 day ago

I am leaving this fortunate typo :p

I used to go to one of those. It has a lot going for it in terms of live acts, but basically it's always the same. I stopped once I realized I was paying for the privilege of attending a Medieval Times themed shopping mall.

Well typically it's a performance for other lesbians not straight guys so if you're in the scene you'll find out...

[–] Pudutr0n@lemmy.world 32 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Did you just assume my gender? cause... what gave it away? Was it the blatant disrespect for anything other than my own needs?

Is it lesbian mud wrestling or is it sparkling same-sex sexy grappling? Trying to figure out if WWE is gay platform wrestling by the same definitions

[–] eestileib@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 day ago

I know a lot of gay pro wrestling fans.

In sumo, Ichiyamamoto literally has a life sized poster of Wakatakakage in his bedroom (they're the same age).

[–] A_norny_mousse@piefed.zip 5 points 1 day ago (2 children)

This is the Insta reel (I don't think it's necessary to read the article, and that site is full of trackers - yes, more than Instagram).

[–] irelephant@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

You can open the embed directly for a lighter page https://www.instagram.com/reel/Dbj70mvsoNJ/embed/captioned

This page also works without JavaScript

[–] irelephant@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 15 hours ago

Also: you could open it on a kittygram instance: https://redirect.kittygr.am/reel/Dbj70mvsoNJ/

[–] gwl@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 23 hours ago

The audience really do feel like they're performing to camera rather than genuinely having fun 😥

[–] perishthethought@piefed.social 19 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Alternate link that doesn't make me visit insta or tiktok, please?

Im glad were still doing fun things

[–] finallymadeanaccount@lemmy.world 3 points 23 hours ago

And the guys watching suddenly find themselves with a place to rest their cameras.

[–] Tarkcanis@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

90% of the peole watching... women.

[–] titanicx@lemmy.zip 19 points 1 day ago

Well. They did say lesbian.

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 26 points 1 day ago

I'm perusing New, but this belongs in the Hot section.

Glad to see some of the original lollapalooza spirit still around

[–] solidheron@sh.itjust.works 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

If men are mud wrestling, I say "wack his nards"

If women are mud wrestling, I say "take her top off"

NGL. Everyone's going to cheer when they happen

[–] howrar@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I'd argue that both go against the spirit of the game.

[–] VitoRobles@lemmy.today 1 points 16 hours ago

The spirit of mud wrestling?

[–] solidheron@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 day ago

Maybe the nut slapping, but taking off top during mud wrestling is a perfectly reasonable way to get advantage for all genders and non binary

[–] W3dd1e@lemmy.zip 1 points 21 hours ago (2 children)

Why aren’t men ever mud wrestling?

[–] CanadianCarl@sh.itjust.works 6 points 16 hours ago

I don't want to get dirty.

[–] TubularTittyFrog@lemmy.world 1 points 15 hours ago* (last edited 15 hours ago)

nobody cares if men do it.

man fixes his own car... nobody cares.

woman fixes her own car... articles are written about it.

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 15 points 1 day ago (1 children)

spoilerThey kiss at the end.

[–] spacegoat@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

When I was young: “These events seem lame.”

Now: “These events are lame and my back hurts.”

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

When I was young: “These events seem lame.”

Now: "I should go to Lollapalooza."

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 17 hours ago

Then: This isn't as much fun as I thought it would be. Kinda boring.

Now: I'm glad they're having enjoying themselves, and I'm glad I'm not there.

[–] bitjunkie@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago

They look like they're having so much fun!
