I don't really know where else to post this, so here it is. I consistently have allergies/itchiness and this works extremely well. I'll never use diphenhydramine again.

Has anyone else used this and experienced the benefits? It's like a clean benadryl without the drowsiness or worry about anticholinergic.

I heard about it from a medical YouTuber, he described it as Benadryl is the first attempt at making a drug and Cetirizine is the second attempt which has less side effects

I think the reason Benadryl is still used is because of lack of education, which is very powerful. I think we can all do a better job of being public and talking about what's worked for us better.

It works fine for me - it has a bonus side effect - I don't get itchy insect bites; I don't even notice I have been bitten unless I look.

Loratadine doesn't work much and traditional antihistamine is a no no because of sleepy.

The latest all singing anti-histamine that is expensive and just been removed from "prescription only" status here in the UK doesn't work as well for me as cetirizine.

It’s a good one. You can get 365 of them for like $13 at Costco. They’re finding that some others (Claritin, Benadryl) are being linked to dementia risks, as per my allergy doctor, so it seems this one or levoceterizine are the best way to go for now. Also I recommend the pataday green eye drops for itchy eyes.

Ditto that, 24hr 10mg, has saved me from allergy onset colds many times over now.
