News community around technology, social media platforms, information technology and governmental policy surrounding it.
The core of the story has to be technology focused.
Title format
Post title should mirror the news source title. If you don't like the title of article, look for an alternative source instead of editorializing it.
URL format
Post URL should be the original link to the article (even if paywalled) and archived copies left in the body. It allows avoiding duplicate posts when cross-posting.
[Opinion] prefix
Opinion (op-ed) articles must use [Opinion] prefix before the title. Opinion articles refer to articles that their publisher doesn't explictly endorse.
Country prefix
Country prefix can be added to the title with a separator (|, :, etc.) if the news is from a local publisher who doesn't clearly mention the country.

It's pretty hard to lock only specific apps with this one, though.
Well, you see, I have a different phone for every app.
You can quite literally do that by setting up different profiles on android, it was specifically made for that exact purpose. If you are going out of your way to switch to your slop profile often then I don't see how effective a physical key would be either. I am pretty sure I have seen some apps on fdroid to do something similar as well with nfc and qr code.
Edit: Also why do people even have notifications enabled for those slop readers and complain that they are tempting them to read more slop? The only notifications I have enabled on mine are for signal, email, foss app stores, music apps, etc. And notification sounds are disabled for everything as well.
