1. Relevant commentary on your own dull life. Posts should be about your own dull, lived experience. This is our most important rule. Direct questions, random thoughts, comment baiting, advice seeking, many uses of "discuss" rarely comply with this rule.

2. Original, Fresh, Meaningful Content.

3. Avoid repetitive topics.

4. This is not a search engine
Use a search engine, a tradesperson, Reddit, friends, a specialist Facebook group, apps, Wikipedia, an AI chat, a reverse image search etc. to answer simple questions or identify objects. Also see rule 1, “comment baiting”.

There are a number of content specific communities with subject matter experts who can help you.

Some other communities to consider before posting:

5. Keep it dull. If it puts us to sleep, it’s on the right track. Examples of likely not dull: jokes, gross stuff (including toes), politics, religion, royalty, illness or injury, killing things for fun, or promotional content. Feel free to post these elsewhere.

6. No hate speech, sexism, or bullying No sexism, hate speech, degrading or excessively foul language, or other harmful language. No othering or dehumanizing of anyone or negativity towards any gender identity.

7. Proofread before posting. Use good grammar and punctuation. Avoid useless phrases. Some examples: - starting a post with "So" - starting a post with pointless phrases, like "I hope this is allowed" or “this is my first post” Only share good quality, cropped images. Do not share screenshots of images; share the original image.

Weather's dull, right??

It's currently 72 degrees with a high of only 82 in the middle of July. Humidity is a comfortable 76%. Sun is shining, not a cloud in the sky, I don't foresee having to run the A/C at all today, and my house's PV system has been getting a great charge all morning.

This sure beats the 99 degree days with 99% humidity and heavy clouds last week.

My only complaint is I don't have today off work.

Related question: I want to install a pergola. Code says an accessory structure needs 3 ft setback from house. If it's attached to house then there's no setback.
What counts as attached? Can I just build it adjacent and put some straps on it and call it attached?

I’d imagine if you’re digging new footers or not.

If you’re not laying a foundation is it a structure?

If you are, I’d wager that’s what counts as attached vs not.

Your local code should be available online. if you have questions you should also be able to call the code office and ask.

You can temper your complaint with the knowledge that you have a job, and a corresponding paycheck, so that makes it a great day

Keep it up bro! talking weather is as dull as it gets.

Got some rain here. Swimming isn't as nice, but hopefully groundwater levels will rise securing the waterlevel in the well (it's about time too !)

ps: 0 cm is roughly at 3.80 meters depth

Is that reading from a rain gauge or rain barrel or what?

I've got 4x55 gallon rain barrels and have wanted to add a sensor so I could check how full they were from Home Assistant. So curious where you're getting your graph data and if that's something that might help me with mine.
