It's a really great film. After seeing this movie and the BlackBerry one, I think I have a real soft spot for highly dramatized histories.
I should probably watch the Weird Al one at some point.

I can highly recommend the Weird Al one. It’s an absolute blast.
Having never seen it, but hearing one review, it's basically "What if UHF... but everyone played it seriously"
I’ll definitely add BlackBerry to my watchlist! Thank you!
It's fantastic. And I have never used a BlackBerry before.
Weird is more a highly fictionalized history. In true Weird Al fashion is a parody of rock star biopics.
Solid movie. Just accept that it’s a completely fictional account of what actually happened and you’ll have fun.
11/10 soundtrack. The Tetris Theme x Opportunities by Pet Shop Boys crossover remix ar the end of the movie is the cherry on top.
I agree with your assessment. I thought it was a very good movie.
Been a while since I watched it and I didn't like it as much. But I cannot remember what I didn't like.
I think what disappointed me a bit is that the movie presents itself like "the real story", when only small parts of the movie are actually based on what really happened. Cannot remember if there is even a small disclaimer at the start of the movie or not.
So if you go in expecting to see what actually happened, don't watch it. If you just want a fun time, then go ahead!
It seriously jumped the shark at the end. Bit it was entertaining and the grains of truth were interesting.
I’ll give it a watch. Thanks!
If you ever get chance to visit Aberdeen - the Aberdeen University Zoological dept building (painted as the Elorg building in the film) is fucking awesome and the two-floor exhibits they have of natural history is genuinely brilliant.
He's a great actor so i might give this a watch!
