art is subjective. Im sure there are things you like that others wont, it does not mean you are somehow faking it or only doing it ironically.

Weezer are alright
I think I like Weezer. I also like that Weezer seems to get a lot of hate, but doesn't seem to care and just keeps going. If a Weezer song comes on, I'm unlikely to change the channel, but I'm also unlikely to seek it out (except maybe Franks and Beans...haven't watched that video in years...also Charlie the Unicorn).
I'm not a super fan of Weezer, but I crank it up and sing along when they come on.
The 90s were called Grunge for a reason. Everything was a little rough around the edges. We didn't auto tune or add computer generated synth beats. Just guys with guitars rocking out.
Look at Nirvana. Kurt himself knew he couldn't sing very well, but we ate that shit up!
