https://www.vote.org/save-act/

This is a good, easy-to-understand summary of the act and its consequences.

Other links for the interested:

The even shorter tl;dr:
Registering to vote will become much more difficult for millions of people. Joe Blo should care because he might be affected, and even if not, many friends and neighbors will be. Trump cares because he believes that difficulty will be concentrated on women, minorities, and the socially disadvantaged in a way that is beneficial to him personally.

This explains a lot of it: https://www.vote.org/save-act/

The reason Trump/repubs want it is because the main effect will be to reduce the number of left-wing voters so that they can steal the upcoming elections.

Tbf this is less stealing and more skewing it to be less democratic, just like they did with gerrymandering.

Now what musk did last time with a lottery for each Republican voter, that was corruption and feels more like stealing. Or the thing where a bunch of Republicans broke into a voting place and started dissecting machines and votes, that's stealing. Or when he effectively committed treason against the US on January 6. Or when he attacked poll workers, using stochastic terrorism against them and therefore trying to make the polling places more partisan. Or any of the uncountable similar things he did that slowly chip away at the legitimacy of the US as an independent democratic nation.

Maybe I'm being facetious but I wanna give the bad things the right words.

It creates a federal centralized voter database and would require states to collect ID and use the list to decide if someone can vote. I'll let you draw your own conclusions why republicans want this.
