Asha probably told Todd (in corpo speak) to get fucked, Obsidian is going to drop everything and make a new Fallout game, you idiots better have ES6 out by the end of 2030 or ideally sooner.

Because Todd and Emil do not actually produce results.

And MSFT can no longer afford Xbox not producing results.

And MSFT owns the IP, not Bethesda. Bethesda is just one of many MSFT owned in house dev teams.

... and Obsidian... has a better track record, makes more popular and more well loved Fallout games, than Bethesda does. Obsidian currently has a fair number of key people from Interplay... who literally invented the IP. Obsidian has a number of key people who were key figures in the development of the most beloved 3D Fallout game.

And! Unlike Bethesda... Obsidian is relatively small (read, not bloated, less expensive) team, that can actually produce things... in a relatively timely manner.

Asha is using the pure logic of a dispationate corpo... but I'd argue ... it is just actually correct.

... Todd is getting his comeuppance for fucking them on the FONV bonus debacle, and I am grinning from ear to ear.

Will anything under M$? Micro$lop seems determined to exit gaming, and I wouldn't trust anything they do to be touched by humans, regardless, at this point.

Modding Bethesda games has taught me that no company will ever do as good as modders do. They just need to make an elder scrolls/fallout sandbox and occasionally add new textures and lore. Give us Roblox for fallout and let the community do what it does best.

Fallout 76 exists though. A New Vegas expansion for it would probably go over VERY well though.

Yeah but how much money is 76 making? I know the game isn’t dead but it can’t be generating that much. Also, how many people working on that game were just laid off?

Elder Scrolls Online had been doing well with the first layoffs and now there have been more. Nothing makes sense and I feel for the people working under such unpredictable conditions.
