John 1:4 Life was in Him, and Life was the light of men.

Genesis 1:3 And God said, “Let there be light.” And light became.

how did the author of Genesis, and the Apostle John know that light can create matter, way before it was proven via using colliders?

This is one of the dumbest arguments I've ever seen to defend the validity of religion. Just take it on faith

Yeah, how did they know earth has four corners, before anyone sailed to each of them? How did the Quran know the universe expands and ends in the big crunch?

Bit of a stretch there don't ya think?

They obviously did not know it. Which is perhaps why that never actually made such a claim. The bible simply asserts that light and matter were create by God (and that light was created first). It never says that God used light to create matter.

In fact, you are the only making that claim. And you clearly made it after reading about the experiment. So, there, mystery solved, I guess.

Also, the word light is often used to symbolize 'truth', 'knowledge', 'guidance', ' enlightenment' ... "God is the source of all truth and only through Him may man find enlightenment". This is what John 1:4 is refering to. It has nothing to do with physical light.

So, did you come into an atheist comm to cherry-pick verses that you think make Einstein's theory of special relativity apply to a 2000+ year old collection of fairy tales?

Oh, do you believe that the Bible is fact and not a re-translated translation of an ancient set of translated fairly tales that were translated from something else (I'm paraphrasing about 20 more translations there)?

I'm happy you have your faith but do us all a favor and leave reality, including Einstein and science, out of it.
