This could have been a completely made up sentence for all I know.

And now you know how your parents / grandparents felt about what you were into.

You either die a Fresh Prince or live long enough to become the “Parents [who] Just Don’t Understand.”

Just walked the dogs past a local park. Noticed that someone had spray painted 67 on a structure. Fun.

I did cross my arms across my lower torso while yelling "suck it!" when I was one of those youths.

This one isn't for me to judge. Maybe kids should try to do less destructive dumb shit.

I remember being in like 1st grade (1980) and the word "dude" was all the rage for us. Dude this, Dude that.

I was at my friends house and his dad asked us something and we were like "yes, dude" and he was all

I AINT A DUDE

oh man we laughed about that for days and I still chuckle about when it comes back to me

The simulation is ending. All that is left is the residual static in the ram slowly fading, causing reality for those of us in the simulation to slowly unravel.

I am very sorry to report that after a bit of searching, I sincerely believe that all three of these entities are real.

Tbh celebrity news has always been this worthless

[–] funkless_eck@sh.itjust.works 14 points 16 hours ago* (last edited 16 hours ago)

Can confirm in the 1940s you could've gossiped that Tierney twosomed Feldmen the packager against Jackie-look Cassini and be perfectly understood.

Pop culture has always been dirty like trash.

I think celebrity news made as much sense to me when I was in my teens as they do to me now. That is no sense.

Verifying this as real killed brain cells

[–] diffaldo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 16 hours ago

A large part of Twitter is just the society pages.

Reminds me of Terrence McKenna's statement on being cool. I was cool, until they changed what cool was. It's always changing and it's always kinda cringe. Anyone remember LMFAO or essentially the entirety of the 80's? It's always been cringe. It's just that our cringe we considered normal and cool.

[–] EvilHankVenture@lemmy.world 9 points 15 hours ago

I used to be with ‘it’, but then they changed what ‘it’ was. Now what I’m with isn’t ‘it’ anymore and what’s ‘it’ seems weird and scary. It’ll happen to you! -Grandpa Simpson

[–] Sergio@piefed.social 5 points 15 hours ago (3 children)

Just listen to Insane Clown Posse. You'll never be cool but you'll never worry about it again.

!juggalos@lemmy.world !

[–] thisbenzingring@lemmy.today 7 points 15 hours ago

I don't really care for their music but that song has a good message and their inclusion principles are respectable

juggalos can be some oddballs and I swear they all live in my town, but I aint gonna tell them to stop

[–] Rai@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 14 hours ago

Miracles everywhere in this bitch.

I am shocked those songs came out so long ago. They’ll always feel like “New ICP songs” to me, but I also graduated from school in the mid-2000s, so the world had many more juggalos in it than there are now.

My experience with juggalos has been “universally crusty and brash, yet inclusive and with a vehement seething hatred for bigotry and almost always religion,” so their pivot to God was an interesting development for me.

I love the fursuit thing though, that’s just sweet.
