there were two attempts but iirc the fleets didn't even land either time and were wrecked by divine storms (kami kaze)
They did land both times, both invading succeeded at taking the island of tsushima (hence the vidya gaem), and even landing in the mainland but they had to withdraw both times because they were unable to secure a source of supplies and lost their ships to the kamikaze.
