I’m sorry. What exactly does this do? I’ve read the description twice and still don’t understand.

TL:dr

Plugin for on demand pirate streams (Debrid) as separate channel in Jellyfin (home media server).

Less tldr:

Plug in that turns Jellyfin into a torrent-stream aggregator without needing to manage torrents locally.

Plug in takes Debrid services (RealDebrid, TorBox, etc) and serves them as direct HTTP streams in JF.

The readme is sort of confusing (and there's an AGENTS.md if that sort of thing worries you) but that's what this appears to do.

Full disclaimer, I use agents heavily for all my work. Any feedback as to how I could improve the readme is welcome.

I was skeptical on the whole AI usage in software engineering, sweared on stupidity of the produced output, until I was given unlimited (so far) access to frontier models by my employer…

A good model is a 100x skill amplificator. There is nothing to amplify if you have no existing skill and I pitty new generations of engineers on how they will be ever able to learn, but damn…

There are lots of low hanging fruit for all kinds of initiatives with AI. From making boutique small and focused programs to rethinking how we teach software development entirely.

No dramas. Lemmy people be all "FuckAI!", but anyone that audits your code can see it's not slop

I get an unexpected error in that link, maybe geolocation lock? I'm in Brazil

I see and yeah it's quite ironic for privacy focused groups to flip like this when it comes to AI

It's a service that stays between jellyfin and debrid providers, kinda like what zurg and debridmediamanager does. It does lots of things, but mainly it'll let you use a single interface to add torrent in bulk to both realdebrid and torbox and have them show in a single folder. The archive will preserve all torrent it sees so you never lose them. It allows migrations from any provider so you can move infringing torrents to torbox. It downloads subs so that you don't need to rely on jellyfin which is terrible for that or need a other separate stack like prowlarr.

Jellyfin is also much less permissive than Plex about how you build your library, so it'll create a folder called curated/ with the videos organized so that jellyfin can pick them up.

Jellyfin is a homeserver app that enables streaming of multiple types (shows, films, music and like photo backups in general). Debrid changes a few things in the app.
