Israeli metalcore band has a song called Triggered?
It seems like reality stole a joke from me.
In a lengthy statement, Her Last Sight expressed disappointment over what they described as a “false narrative” and defended the post as “comedic” rather than harmful. The band insisted they do not subscribe to any social ideology or agenda
Wow, they managed to use both the ”haha it's just a joke bro!” and ”actually, we're not political” deflections at the same time.
Also, if you search for the band name, it's easy to find out the singer has apparently posted many times about how all Palestinians should die.
rich Arabs
Literally #1 orientalist stereotype of the middle east being spread by totally native and indigenous and not European Israeli band

"Her Last Sight" seems like a very on-the-nose reference to the last thing a woman sees before her vision fades while looking up her husband's forearms for the last time.
these people live in 2010
You're not kidding, if you hid the band name I'd 100% think that's a song title by Four Year Strong or A Day to Remember.
idk how cognizant of 10s scene music you are, but it's kind of worse than just being a derivative song name, it's reference to a band called asking alexandria who's singer is named danny (huge chud btw) that has a song with "cowboy king" somewhere in the title. they're cheekily namedropping a shitty band that hasn't relevant since 2013 at the latest
I'm vaguely aware of Asking Alexandria, so I didn't know any of that.
I just assumed it was a wacky reference to some movie or TV show, possibly from the 80s, as was the style at the time.
Wtf I keep seeing that "mariachi metal band" being pushed to me on social media. Now I understand why. Just so fucking insidious
Oh, ewww. That mariachi band one just showed up in my reels and I let it repeat when I put my phone down for a bit.
I blocked them the other day. Just real gross shit
metalcore
Is that different from metal?
It's like metal, but when you're bad at it, but insist it is actually better than actual metal.
combination of hardcore punk and metal
