That day he was amazed to discover that when she said "please", she had finally learned some goddamn manners.

I love this movie, and quote it nearly daily.

Now I know what you're thinking, "Inconceivable!" but that's just because you've fallen into one of the classic blunders!

You are the brute squad!

"That day she was amazed to discover..."
"What he meant was 'Let's bone sometime' "

Allosexuals ruining romance, speedrun: go! Wow! A new record!

No offense haha, I know your view is the majority one

You just can't ignore the fuck-me eyes they're giving each other through the whole beginning of the movie.

I mean....if your fusiform gyrus is horribly miswired or you have like.... traumatic right hemisphere brain injury...you....can ignore them. It does lead to some inexplicable plot points if you don't pick up on it though.

I most certainly can because I can't read those!

[–] Godric@lemmy.world 4 points 3 weeks ago

People want to fuck Allosauri? Damn.

I've been saying this to my partner for years and she still hasn't seen this movie (I have gently suggested, but know if I push it'll never happen).

Hehe, I can't wait for her to connect the dots when she finally sees it.

...

Can anyone say what movie this is?

[–] Galapagon@sh.itjust.works 18 points 3 weeks ago

Princess Bride!

"as you wish"

[–] bizarroland@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

And if she likes that, follow it up with Stardust.

[–] thisbenzingring@lemmy.today 1 points 3 weeks ago

Give her the book, maybe that will convince her to see it

Rest in peace Rob Reiner

You were THE great ones we always hear about

I wanted to do the always sunny bit about Wade Boggs. You know the one. Where they say "he's very much alive. What are talking about?"

And then I checked up on it.

Good news/bad news. Wade Boggs is very much alive. But rob reiner is not. Fucking hell...

He got real creepy looking as he got older, but like in a good way. He wields it for good.

You keep using that word....

[–] socsa@piefed.social 5 points 2 weeks ago

You have just made one of the classic blunders!

[–] daddycool@lemmy.world 7 points 2 weeks ago

I also know a good movie. I would say it's among the best movies I've ever seen and I think you too would like very much. So go see it. And tell your friends and family to go see it as well.

To quote the Film Reroll: "Kids, this is what's known as a dom-sub relationship"

[–] DickFiasco@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 weeks ago

I like that this meme template started with Star Wars, and is now spreading to The Princess Bride.

The line should have been "and what should I do with the buckets?"
