History

About this community and how I post the comics… Many moons ago, I would ask my Dad to save the newspaper for me everyday so I could read my favorite comic strips. Of course these days you can read your favorite comics online instead of a newspaper, but I love the nostalgia of reading the daily comics. Anyway, one of my favorite current comics is Cyanide and Happiness and I will be posting the daily release from their website (https://explosm.net/) and a an extra or two randoms.

There’s no accounting for taste

If I'm at a cruising event that's a great line.

If I'm at a mixer that's coming off way too strong.

I’m convinced that incels aren’t real.

Sure, that’s the term that they prefer to call themselves, but is it really all that difficult if the celibacy is the sole problem? It’s not like there’s a shortage of people. There’s something like 8.5 billion—an inconceivably large number. At least half of those people are below average. And a massive portion must have low standards. How hard can it be?

I expect that it must be a combination of distorted world views and expectations that are incompatible with reality that leads a person to identify with this label.

How hard can it be?

It’s like the epitome of a person who has decided that they can’t possibly be the problem.

You pretty much answered your own question. I suspect most people in that catagory are unwilling or incapable of the introspection necessary to realise they could achieve their desires, but they'll need to improve themselves first.
