Mama Cat (not Broccoli Cheddar's mama) has been showing me her babies every time I go to the barn. First time she showed them to me, they were still wet.

I told her she did a good job and she started purring.

The gray one I think is gonna be adopted and demandsattention from everyone. The dark orange one wants to fight everyone and everything. The light orange one seems like it has legit brain damage or something. Something isn't right with it, but it's still giving it's all lol

My cat looked like a brain damaged barn kitten - slept trough everything important (feeding, people adopting his siblings) and he grew up to be the sweetest, very majestic and loving cat. He may not be the brightest crayon in the set, but he will definitely eat one.

Ok, these three need to be kept together. You have the special needs kitten, the defensive brother, and the diva sister.

This could be an animated movie. I'd call it "Kittens", but people might think it's a spinoff of Cats, and therefore not want to see it.

Maybe call it "Purrfect Strangers"?

I wish they could be because their dynamic is great. The grey one has a future home though. She's honestly far too friendly to be a barn cat. Like she's always under foot and it's dangerous for her because horses lol

Then all 3 have to go to that home.

Are they getting neutered/spayed?

[–] LaunchesKayaks@lemmy.world 0 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

I believe so. There's only a few barn cats that reproduce. Some of the kittens replace any cats that passed over the winter and the rest get taken home by folks when they're old enough.

How did they pass in the winter, didnt they have the barn for shelter?

[–] LaunchesKayaks@lemmy.world 0 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

They did but this winter was especially harsh and the weaker cats didn't make it.

I still dont follow, did they starve or freeze to death?

Seems pretty normal for an orange cat. There's something about that colour that causes extreme stupidity. They're normally good fun though.

It's the one brain cell shared among all orange cats.
