This is my reason. Followed closely by the price...

It'd be fine for $50k. $600k is insane. Its not a world-class sports car, its just your basic electric crossover.

Just think of the depreciation, though.

Is there a way to short the residual value?

Because it looks like shit.

Iirc it has about the same specs as a Model S Plaid for like 5x the price too

Because it looks like shit and doesn’t perform like a Ferrari.

They made it a crossover. What were they expecting?

[–] Retiredtoflorida@lemmy.world 5 points 4 days ago

That looks more like a Tesla than a Ferrari. WTF?

Lol quoting Salvini is like reporting on Rohan quoting Wormtongue.

Ferrari know well what they do, they probably didn’t want a direct competition of the first EV with their ICE cars and opened up another category in their offering. In the meantime, they sold each Luce on display in Italy and the 8% stock drop is mainly due to known investor behavior more than anything else.

I find amusing how much people care about exterior design in terms of known patterns and nostalgia: no interest in the very impressive tech in this car and just shows how badly superficial nowadays internet commenters are.

Having never owned a Ferrari, if I were to buy one, I'd think that letting fucking everyone know it's a Ferrari is an essential part of the experience. The (Ferrari-supplied) performance specs look fine, but at that price, it had better be turning heads from miles away, not just the occupants.

Yep, this sad narcissism is exactly what I’m talking about 😆 and probably mostly shared by people not having access to such luxury.

In any case, the awkward or ugly turns heads too, so this car will dutifully accomplish that.
