The marshall's dive into the barrier hole was great! ๐Ÿ˜…

[โ€“] woelkchen@lemmy.world 1 points 4 days ago

Dive bomb of the day!

So, in the end, not a single spit of rain. McLaren strategists must be biting their fingers.

Yes, let's cover the overtake because we have to show Russell on a moped. ๐Ÿ™„

Sheesh, it's sad to see Russel's race end like that.

What was the latest VSC about?

[โ€“] PrincessKadath@ani.social 4 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I think they finally cleaned up the outside of the hairpin. Would have been nice if they showed it. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

There was a race control message about a marshall on turn 12, so I guess it was to clean up the straight after the hairpin

[โ€“] Etnaphele@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago

Well that was anticlimatic

Three formation laps? Madness!

[โ€“] Nighed@feddit.uk 2 points 4 days ago

He's still got it!

Great move from Lewis!

Mercedes powertrain really bombproof today (or maybe gearbox is not provided by Merc?)

[โ€“] PrincessKadath@ani.social 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

What happened with George?!

[โ€“] Nighed@feddit.uk 2 points 4 days ago

Engine failure

What were McLaren thinking by starting on inters?

[โ€“] BlackEco@lemmy.blackeco.com 2 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

Okay, amazing start from Norris... to be thrown away with a (necessary) Lap 2 pit stop ๐Ÿ™ƒ

[โ€“] PrincessKadath@ani.social 2 points 5 days ago

Poor Arvid...

[โ€“] Nighed@feddit.uk 2 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

Inter drivers are expecting chaos and a safety car/red flag?

Where do they have to get to for updated positions to apply after a red flag?

Obligatory "Russel is mowing the lawn"

[โ€“] PrincessKadath@ani.social 1 points 4 days ago

I am having 2016 flashbacks.

[โ€“] hsr@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Locking up makes you go faster, amazing

[โ€“] PrincessKadath@ani.social 1 points 4 days ago

Looks like you are right.

[โ€“] PrincessKadath@ani.social 1 points 4 days ago

My blood pressure can't take all the excitement for the 1-2 fight.

I am looking at the F1TV pre show (and Indy 500) but i am wondering, why am i seeing Juan Pablo Montoya and his son all the time throughout the weekend? It feels like Juan Pablo is really pushing to have his son in the spotlight of F1(TV)
