Amazing read, and I am indeed shocked that I have seen nothing about it in the news.

The west tries to hush up actual popular resistance while magnifying color revolutions. That's a good litmus test to see that yes, this is genuine popular resistance.

I've only heard whispers on lemmy and Reddit. This is the first journalism I've seen. I love Bolivia and I've always wanted to go. The salt flats alone are something everyone should see. Now I can't show my American face there :( those poor people.

Workers seizing an airport to prevent the kidnapping. That's how it's done.

Reminded me of the time, right after the October Revolution, when the Russian bolshevik workers foiled a coup by Kornilov by taking control of all the rail and telegraph stations in Petrograd.

For anyone who is in possession of a machine gun, that country feels they have the right to kidnap you.

That is not true, in Bolivia armed and terrorist groups are committing the international crime of extermination in the capital, the city Nuestra Señora de La Paz, and all of this is directed by Evo Morales who is linked to drug trafficking and trafficking of minors.

[–] Cowbee@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

This is imperialist bullshit, what's going on is a leftist uprising against the right-wing government and the US Empire supporting it.

[–] Alva_Alveiro17@lemmy.world -1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

That is completely false.

Drug trafficking and personal and collective political ambitions are funding this illegitimate movement and its demands.

They seek to seize power by force and in an undemocratic manner, attempting to circumvent the law.

These armed and irregular groups have already caused the deaths of innocent people, preventing the passage of food, medicine, and fuel, and restricting free movement.

This is entirely unconstitutional.

They are relying on national and international disinformation.

Nope. Just like the charges against Maduro, this is bullshit used to manufacture consent.
