The political class and their corporate partners in crime are just blatantly looting the Govt and taxpayers for anything that is left. This is after running up $40 trillion in debt. Which let's be honest. A large amount of that also made it to this same corrupt group. It's just that back in the day, they had to scheme and play games to steal and ultimately bankrupt the Govt. Already going after Social Security too. At some point they will have run up so much debt and stolen so much money that there will be nothing left to take... Other than the ongoing corruption to maintain power and all the regulatory capture that keeps the fraud and corruption machine going... Which itself is being fed by all this imaginary money from the Federal Reserve. And the rest of us just pay for it while being increasingly unable to afford the cost of all the corruption and theft. Then due to these same assholes building systems and robots to replace labor, you're going to have fewer jobs and the ones that exist will be increasingly shitty as different roles are replaced as AI and robotics advances. All of those people will be looking to a welfare safety net to literally stay alive. And the response from social security, and all the other programs will be that there is no money for it. Where did it all go again?

You would be shocked, shocked, by how few people care about this, and how many assume that it's normal government operations.

Nothing can shock me in this timeline

Nah these idiots quit surprising me the first time they elected president Pedophile Trump, I'm older, gen x, just smarter than my peers, maybe not better educated, but smarter. These kool aid, drinkin bootlickers have their heads in the ground to lick boots easier. I have had enough of these fools login off with my anger

Put them in the ground.

This. I have not been anti GOP my whole life but they have just went beyond the pale this millenia and they keep getting worse. they just have to go. its unacceptable for them to hold any office at this point and I hope conservatives can see this and get away from corpo bullshit and stuff and reshingle like when the wigs went away. They need to get back to something with real core beliefs that it stands by. I know a lot of the left will basically yell that none of their things are good and I get that. Its not what I think is right but at this point they just don't even have anything but if its us its good if its thems its bad even if its the same thing.

Outrage mounts for some, but not for all. Just check comments sections on conservative outlets. People are cheering this slush fund as a win.

The GOP has spent the better part of 100 years convincing its base to vote against and put support against their own interests. That drive is now literally paying dividends.
