As a big fan of both Tool and XKCD, I highly approve of this comic
As somebody who isn't a big Tool fan I was a little disappointed after searching these. Call me when XKCD does a bit about King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.
To be fair, KGatLW is substantially more difficult to incorporate into a pun.
Randall seems to have aimed at recognisability in choosing those song titles.
Reflection is one of my favorites, super underrated even amongst Tool fans IMO.

Are there pairings of songs/albums and speedrun routes that line up like "DSotM" and "The Wizard of Oz"? I don't think I've ever seen such a thing but it feels like it should exist.

Not speed run routes but dopesmoker pairs up excellently with dark souls
Listening to Dopesmoker is antithetical to any kind of speedrun, I think.
