The article talks about non-existent labor abuse.
Same with phones.
We have given up a lot to baby the American auto industry. Our health is poorer due to non-walkable cities and the stress of commuting. Our highways tore through a lot of minority communities. Our carbon footprint is higher than it could be. We can't even have cheaper EVs.
THE FREE MARKET
I want NO internet connection when I drive a car. If you want to spy on me it should be on a bullet train. Or a walkable city with safe bike lanes and shit.
