American companies have admitted outright that, if Chinese vehicles were allowed in US markets, they wouldn't be able to compete.

It's a better product.

We have given up a lot to baby the American auto industry. Our health is poorer due to non-walkable cities and the stress of commuting. Our highways tore through a lot of minority communities. Our carbon footprint is higher than it could be. We can't even have cheaper EVs.
