If you don't mind older stuff there's Flight of Dragons. But honestly the dragon sort of gets sidelined.
jane and the dragon is an entertaining cartoon to me. the dragon and the george is an interesting book.
The art is like, little barbie dolls moving 😍
Two minutes in, and it's such a joy to watch
yeah I sorta get annoyed so few were made. Someone posted a joke from the show and I did a reply. Oh dragon.
Sorry this is a book series, but I throughly enjoyed the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik. It’s sort of a reimagining of the napoleonic wars but with dragons.
The first one is His Majesty’s Dragon. There are audiobooks of all the books if that makes a difference for you! In the US you might be able to access for free through Overdrive/Libby, which you sign up for with your local library card.
The main character is a human, unfortunately BUT the dragons are given reasonably deep character development and they have their own society.
Also, not romantasy.
Unfortunately my greatest suggestion is reading text, Dragonriders of Pern by Anne McCaffrey. Pern is a planet where a red star comes and drops "thread" which is a material that consumes all organic material, but can be burned by fire. The dragons and their riders are what keeps people/crops/etc from being ravaged by the thread.
The dragons and their riders have a telepathic bond, where the dragons are intelligent.
Holy hell, this sounds amazing!
Dragonheart comes to mind, it's about a dragon and dragon slayer who decide it's more profitable to work together to fake slayings.
Dragonball too but I'm guessing that's not what you're after.
Dragon Tales was a turn-of-the-century childrens' show. Probably geared toward younger audiences than you're catering to, but this is the best fit I can manage at the moment. Maybe a quick 3-hour wiki-walk will point you in the right direction?
We tried looking around TV tropes, but the results were incomplete. Which is why we thought asking the community was a good idea
