How would that provide anything that they can't already do with a normal barcode? (Just watch the video, it's a classic Chris Spargo mildly interesting)
It is really interesting.
Simple yet brilliant implementation.
Wouldn't need a QR code for that. Barcodes would be sufficient. Pricing info is stored at a higher level. The code they scan on the product just tells the system what the item is. The system itself can adjust the price on the fly.
Barcodes in general are on schedule to be replaced by QR codes. So not just a Tesco thing
