This has to be my favourite meme format in a very long time. I really hope Natalie reads all these tweets and that they make her furious.

[–] XiaCobolt@hexbear.net 43 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I liked the one which was "Fallout 1 and 2 which I assume most Fallout Enthusiasts have played"

[–] Cowbee@hexbear.net 12 points 1 month ago (1 children)

They genuinely are fun games, wish more people would play them...

[–] Emmi@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I've been wanting to play them. I tried so many years ago but I liked simpler FPS games back then. Now I like FPS and a lot of different genres.

[–] Cowbee@hexbear.net 2 points 1 month ago

They're fun! No shame in following a guide, either, they can be pretty difficult if you aren't familiar with the systems. I always recommend them for people who like the new ones and care a lot about the lore.

"Tee hee watch me wield mental health as an insult"

Fuck off Natalie. I hated her bullshit a billion years ago when she made that video telling trans people that they're invalid if they don't pass

Most Reddit ass breadtuber

[–] RNAi@hexbear.net 5 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

trans people that they're invalid if they don't pass

(Talking to Natalie)

There are ciswomen who don't pass you imbecile, plus very convenient coming from someone with the natural phisique of a malnourished worm

[–] into_highest_invite@lemmygrad.ml 20 points 1 month ago (3 children)

what even was her point in saying this?

[–] GenderIsOpSec@hexbear.net 33 points 1 month ago (1 children)

to keep her relevant and to keep ragebait farming the twitter leftist crowd

[–] MattEagle@hexbear.net 12 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I actually do wonder if she's fully jokerfied and intentionally ragebaiting

[–] purpleworm@hexbear.net 19 points 1 month ago (1 children)

She is definitely intentionally ragebaiting and has been for a long time, imo

[–] MattEagle@hexbear.net 8 points 1 month ago

fuck well at least she's still good at something. The videos have been sparse and bad these past few years

[–] chgxvjh@hexbear.net 6 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

It does seem more intentional nowadays but I think in the past she just really couldn't help it sometimes.

[–] WokePalpatine@hexbear.net 26 points 1 month ago (1 children)

The Cringe Crusader who failed at killing Trump the other day is a radical centrist dipshit so she's saying radical centrists are the revolutionary class in the US and Marxists are wrong because Marx didn't write about radical centrists doing failed adventurism as being useful to the movement.

[–] quarrk@hexbear.net 14 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

I don’t understand even that reasoning. She’s accusing Marxists of something while admitting they aren’t guilty of that accusation. Just a weird post that complains about a person that doesn’t exist

[–] purpleworm@hexbear.net 20 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Just anything to needle at the left, especially by calling them fake revolutionaries, which I think was her point here. It's kind of hard to tell.

[–] Dort_Owl@hexbear.net 14 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It's 100% this, yeah. She was the one said the "Firebomb a Walmart" thing, right?

[–] Keld@hexbear.net 13 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (2 children)

She was not, but she did do the "They don't want power, they want to endlessly critique power" line

[–] reaper_cushions@hexbear.net 10 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It’s just funny how adamant she is about that one stupid take and how much she likes to repeat it. Does she know that there have been successful “leftist” revolutions in the past?

[–] Keld@hexbear.net 16 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (2 children)

Oh no she's fully mad about the french revolution. Like she made a point that the only reason Marie Antoinette was killed was because people were jealous/envious.

[–] SpookyBogMonster@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

So like... I've seen Marie Antonette's house, and the little fake village where she pretended to be poor.

And it makes all the sense in the world that they chopped her head off. It wasn't because they were jealous. It was because the nobility's entire way of life was untenably built on the suffering of the French masses, and the contradictions mounted such that they did a little slicey slicey about it

[–] Keld@hexbear.net 10 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

The reason she got her head chopped off was because she and her husband tried to do treason. Like we can't even argue about that part, she and her husband sought to use their office to support a foreign country invading France and an anti government movement seeking to undermine its institutions. Literally no one was trying to get her head chopped off until then, the vast majority of the national assembly were monarchists, with the largest contingent being some form of constitutional monarchist with very large leeway given for the institution of the monarchy.
Even after she had tried to literally do treason Robespierre flipped his fucking lid at the Dantonists for trying to bring in salacious rumors about her excess, debauchery and poor character.

[–] comrade_pibb@hexbear.net 3 points 1 month ago

what a stupid asshole

[–] SpookyBogMonster@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 month ago

but she did do the "They don't want power, they want to endlessly critique power" line

Which is crazy because there are definitely people who do that, but I find that they're largely libs

The age of napoleon podcast episode with matt about the 18th brumaire is cool, definitely recommend listening to it: https://podbay.fm/p/the-age-of-napoleon-podcast/e/1500257340

[–] BanMeFromPosting@hexbear.net 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

I've listened to that, Matts series on the spanish civil war, the Hell on earth and the Hell of presidents series and I still need more of my large adult son. I like the sounds his mouht makes I guess

[–] BattleshipPokemon@hexbear.net 3 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Is the hell on earth series good, I've been meaning to get it

[–] BanMeFromPosting@hexbear.net 3 points 1 month ago

It's great and there's bootlegs on yotutube

[–] daniyeg@hexbear.net 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

unrelated but how popular was this Khatami meme at its peak? without internet it was really hard to feel how much play it got in anglophone social media.

[–] RNAi@hexbear.net 2 points 1 month ago

I think its peak is right now/a month ago
