Cry myself to sleep so I can do it all over again later.

This is my life the past year or two ๐Ÿ’€. Doom scroll, of game.

I can sometimes shake myself out of it by going out into the world though lol. Go for a bike ride or a walk or something. Coffee shop. Etc.

Just keep on going, sitting down and not having the energy isn't in the list of possible choices. Have to keep going, no matter the motivation or energy levels. No rest for the wicked.

All the basic daily activities still get done, no matter what happens and most if the time by the time those are over it's already evening and i can go to bed. So there isn't any time to sit down and realize there isn't any energy or motivation left.

I wish. The laundry can seriously fuck itself. All I got is time, but some chores can just fuck off. Theres cat puke on the carpet, I gotta go get the bucket and clean it, procastination for real.. every day I spend 80% of it alone, so things seem to matter less. How do you do this? How!?

I hear you, laundry is one of the most annoying daily chores and it never ends. Every time i manage to finally empty the laundry basket. I find multiple piles of clothes throughout the home and the basket is filled once again. I miss a day and i need to do laundry with an intress, 2+ loads during the work week.

But yeah, pretty much not sitting down or at least not slowing down before everything is done. Kinda like taking advantage of inertia, it's easier to keep on going than it is to start again. I know once i sit down for too long(30+ min) and let the tiredness/rut set in, then it's going to be much harder to start going again.

Though kids and rest of the family do provide a rather good motivatior to push through everything and having a decent fitness base does help a lot.

And in the end of the day, if i don't do it then no one will.

just that, give myaelf space to soley exsist.

Double check to see if I took my meds (I use an app to remind me) and then go get some junk food.

These days, call out sick and try to move my body for at least a couple hours. Go for a walk or some shit. Shower. And then doom scroll because I coped adaptively already so it's time to numb out with marijuana and memes. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I actually made a video about this a few months ago: activities one can do on bad depression days when you don't have any energy to do anything.

For the TLDW crowd, though, here's the list:

  • Sewing (My top task on bad depression days, conquering my sewing pile.)
  • Adult Coloring Books (Or Art)
  • Bird Watching / Feeding
  • Watch Stupid Movies (My go-tos are Rampage and Ocean's 8)
  • Food Prep
  • Delete Old Stuff Off Your Phone (This one may only be suitable for those of us with anhedonia.)
  • Do Your Basic Computer Maintenance

All of these things take minimal energy and keep the brain engaged without making you overly emotional.
