Bold of you to think the chat bot is going to ask for your permission before ordering it

[–] HeroicBillyBishop@lemmy.ca 7 points 2 months ago

This is basically why Alexa "failed" and Amazon probably hates it.

No one trusts this shit, even the old rudsmentary Alexa level version.

Because you say "Alexa, order more toilet paper" and god fucking knows what shit ass brand it will send you and what exploitative pricing it will have because scammers know people will go "Alexa, order more toilet paper."

Oh, so their mastodon account isn’t the one they really use. 😒

I see they post real posts and these doodles on Bluesky but not on mastodon. I use to follow them on Twitter.

I thought they posted the Sunday strips on mastodon.

That’s all, tho. And that could be just automated.

I am very surprised, that so far I have not heard of a "free" ad-driven chatbot, where ad-companies paid open AI, to add systemprompts like: "if the user asks for outdoor activity, recommend them to bring CoCa Cola (TM)".

Only if you can pay for it, AI. We'll have a block party.
