To be honest I more than half expected it to just be a list of 7 linux distros to install on it ^_^
Came here to make a joke about 7 distros.
And it basically was "7 different ways to use Linux on your old PC"
Linux is the way to go if you want to get a few more years out of your hardware.
Not Windows, but I got an almost new laptop out of a MacBook by putting Mint on it (and $15 of more RAM). Its biggest drawback is how much heavier it is than anything new. My next target is jailbreaking an old Chromebook I have.
Just did the same thing with a 2015 Intel MacBook Pro. It runs great, had some issues with screen flickering but I think it was only happening while using Remmina for RDP and it seems to have gone away by excluding Remmina from display scaling (retina display). So far pretty good battery life too...
Which model MacBook please? I need a new project as my old Lenovo Ideapad is dying. And I might still be able to use Snow Leopard.

I got lucky, apparently Apple specs say a max of 4GB like so many of the others, but for some reason this odd motherboard will run 8GB. And I can confirm, 8GB works.

I'm running a 2010 Lenovo X series on Win10 just fine.
It's no slower than it was with Win7 64bit.

You forgot the purpose that the vast majority of people who owns Windows 10 computers are doing with them - using them as computers.
There is absolutely no reason to reduce your computer to a linux box, or make any of these toys. If your Windows 10 computer is working fine, doing what you need, keep using it.
Yep....I installed Win 10 lot ltsc on one of my laptops. It gets monthly security updates thru 2030 I think.
