Yeah... I wouldn't recommend shooting at a metal object from a few feet away.

Also, I know it was a different era, but if I saw someone shooting an inanimate out of anger today, I would assume that person belongs to a certain cult.

Hunter S. Thompson once gave an interciew at his home when you could hear gunfire. He said it's his neighbour shooting at him, so he pulled out his gun and fired back. He wasn't really shooting at someone, but in the general direction of his house. Fair to say that these people weren't particularly well

Look at him, uniting lunatics across the divide. Yeah I read his books but fuck him

Charitably, I have to assume that familiarity with the object in question would change my view. The printer destruction scene from Office Space was a cultural phenomenon for a reason, after all.

Me, unclear what cult is known for shooting inanimate objects. Are we talking about scientoligists?

Recommend Generation of Swine, he was a prophet and should be Canonized

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Except Mr Thompson didn't have to deal with Microslop jamming pointless AI into everything...

He would be so unhappy to be alive right now, particularly with AI (and the whole fascism thing).

And here's a video of him shooting at his neighbor over something to do with cows. https://faroutmagazine.co.uk/hunter-s-thompson-shooting-neighbour/

When I get new devices to replace older broken or malfunctioning ones, I often take out my pent up frustration with the old devices by destroying them with great fervor...

There's something oddly therapeutic about it.

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing that worried me was the ether.
