Notice she has somekind of paper below indicating she is a worker and a skilled one at that. Girl boss should not be capitalist shill but a equal partner in building a better world not a soldier commiting genocide. Liberalism is gross.

Where can I get the soviet poster?

both are lies and in both cases women got mistreated and used. True that we should do better but don't fool yourself about historic facts.

If my shithole country is bad, that means every other country must be worse. My country is clearly number 1, everyone in my country tells me so. Everything that says another country is good is therefore clearly lying.

It is difficult for me to imagine what "personal liberty" is enjoyed by an unemployed person, who goes about hungry, and cannot find employment.

Real liberty can exist only where exploitation has been abolished, where there is no oppression of some by others, where there is no unemployment and poverty, where a man is not haunted by the fear of being tomorrow deprived of work, of home and of bread. Only in such a society is real, and not paper, personal and every other liberty possible.

Why not show Rosie the riveter? Literally the most famous women worker poster in American history? Oh right. Cuz propaganda. Is this a pro socialist space or a pro Stalinist space?

[–] OilyArena@lemmy.ml 10 points 3 days ago

Because Rosie the Riveter was also war propaganda designed to get more women involved in the slaughter of innocents. It has nothing to do with Socialist ideals.

ah yes, socialism is when strike breaking girl boss, you are very intelligent

[–] mathemachristian@lemmy.ml 5 points 3 days ago

Pro-socialism is when US propaganda?

[–] sobchak@programming.dev -2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Hmm, just looked it up, and the image of Rosie most famous today was commissioned by the Westinghouse Electric Corporation for internal use to discourage strikes.

Yeah, this community has a lot of tankies. I think there's stuff to learn from the past, but too many people try to whitewash or emulate it. These are different times that require different ideas and solutions; especially if we want to be better than we were in the past.

I don't think it's particularly surprising that the socialist community has a lot of socialists.
