It’s like a shitpost on a shirt. You have absolutely no idea where this guy’s values lie (or if he has any). It’s perfect.

And not raning out of it.

[–] VitoRobles@lemmy.today 4 points 3 weeks ago

I never met a person who shitposts in reality who was tolerable in any way

[–] SlurpingPus@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

Regrettably, the author of the image doesn't value the correct pronunciation of ‘Iran’.

[–] Hadriscus@jlai.lu 2 points 3 weeks ago

Personally I've never met a person who shitposts in reality

[–] smuuthbrane@sh.itjust.works 29 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Now he's between Iraq and a hard place.

[–] Godric@lemmy.world 19 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Anyone Hungary for country puns? No? We should probably quit them cold Turkiye

[–] DrinkMonkey@lemmy.ca 5 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Pretty Laos-y way to ask…

[–] MrsDoyle@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

This is the second time today I've Turkey spelled this way. First time was on a travel programme on TV. They didn't call Italy Italia, so why this? Did I miss something?

[–] Kernal64@sh.itjust.works 4 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

I don't remember the details now, but a few years ago, Turkiye was big in the news because something bad was happening there. Maybe some kind of humanitarian crisis or something, I really don't remember. But at that time, there was this mass consensus that seemed to come out of nowhere and everywhere at once that we should be spelling the name of the country the way the Turkish people do, and so the media and lots of people switched over to this spelling.

[–] MrsDoyle@sh.itjust.works 1 points 3 weeks ago

Ok thanks. I'm amazed it passed me by.

[–] DisgruntledGorillaGang@reddthat.com 1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

So why aren't we doing it for every other country? Why just Turkey?

[–] Kernal64@sh.itjust.works 1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

How should I know? I'm not the boss of country names. I was just telling that other poster what I remembered of why people started doing it for Turkiye.

Why are you getting snarky? It's an open forum. People are allowed to pose questions. If you don't have an answer, just don't reply.

[–] HerbalGamer@sh.itjust.works 4 points 3 weeks ago

They got annoyed that the name was used for a bird as well so they changed it internationally to the way they write it themselves.

[–] Kazumara@discuss.tchncs.de 11 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

This one is less "Shirts That Go Hard", and more "Shirts That Go Stupid".

[–] glimse@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Feel like that described the majority of shirts posted to communities like this lol

[–] Kazumara@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

I went through the last two pages of posts (ordered by "active"), and you're right. There were maybe four good ones, and two noteworthy for extreme cringe, the rest was all boring or stupid.

[–] hansolo@lemmy.today -1 points 3 weeks ago

I always assume the Facebook ads with the bad mock-up of shit like this wouldn't even turn out half this good.

[–] Steve@communick.news 11 points 3 weeks ago (4 children)

I'm 83% sure it's fake. The alignment of the letters is all perfectly even, when the shirt isn't. But it looks like some shadow gradient effect was applied to try to match the shirt.

[–] Buddahriffic@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Looks like it might be simply gimped rather than AIed.

[–] Steve@communick.news 2 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (1 children)

Yah, I don't think it's AI at all.
Fake doesn't mean AI.

[–] Buddahriffic@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago

Yeah, didn't intend to imply that's what you meant, just commenting that it's a rare fake these days.

[–] Ashelyn@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Zoom in on the top left of the screen, there's weird AI-like artifacting in the Camel text and the price tags to the left

[–] Steve@communick.news 2 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

I don't think it's AI generated.
It just looks like a low-res image of a guy buying alcohol, that someone stole to make an admittedly fantastic joke of a shirt.

[–] axexrx@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

The bottle labels on the bottles looks weirdly half AI

[–] Steve@communick.news 0 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (1 children)

I don't think so. It just seems like they started with a low-res image. Other details are too good for AI.

[–] axexrx@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago

I feel like they started with a real image and asked ai to clean it up, and add the shirt text, leading to things like the svedka's V having the bottom cut off, and the camel logo looking all wavy.

You have to mispronounce Iran to get it.

It's posts like these that make me wish we had downvotes here.

I love that shirt. Is it real?

[–] Godric@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

It certainly is, I would have used a different version of a "stick up the ass shirt" to convey my contempt for people who can't joke, had I used Abominable Intelligence to generate it.

[–] stringere@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 weeks ago

How have I not seen Abominable Intelligence until now? I love it, made me think of Artifactual Intelligence.

[–] M0oP0o@mander.xyz 0 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

It could be, there are alot worse out there already.

Be the screen printer you want to be.

Time to dust off my skills making Obey giant shirts in my 20s.

[–] Ja7sh_The_Donkey@piefed.social 1 points 3 weeks ago

Took some time to figure it out! It is outstanding...!
