What controllers are those?

[–] shiroininja@lemmy.world 5 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

The razor kishi V1. They’re up to version 3 now though. They’re a lot more expensive than the v1 I bought. But the quality of my v1 feels great. I think the buttons and especially the triggers feel tons better than the switch’s by comparison. It works with all my emulators, xcloud, and my steam link streaming.

They also make them for Android and have charging pass through

Razer kishi (OP) is pretty good, I've personally been a fan of the 8bitdo ultimate mobile controller. I've found the build quality to be very similar or better than other controllers I've used, and it's like half the price of most of them. https://www.8bitdo.com/ultimate-mobile-gaming-controller/

PPSSPP is truly a work of art.

What other games did you have?

I bought a PSP with the 1.5 firmware so that I could jailbreak it right away. I owned a few original games, but battery life was always way better without a spinning UMD

Outrun 2006 was always my favorite.

I played the absolute fuck outta Lumines back then

I had gta:liberty city stories and I think some racing game. I don’t remember that one. The PSP was short lived. My baby brother spilled water on it two weeks after I bought it.

I bought it at launch for $299 in early 00s money earned at my first full time job.

I was big time mad. I’ve been thinking of picking one up lately though.

I bought mine in 2nd grade with the money I saved up from some gifts I got. The only 2 games I had were NFS undercover and GTA liberty city stories. I could play them for hours over and over again.

Unfortunately mine got stolen

I resurrected my girlfriends PSP recently and really fun. I need to get liberty city stories and nfs again

I'm thinking of buying another one for my nephew for him to experience the same

That really sucks. I have a little brother who did similar things.

A PS Vita is backwards compatible with PSP games and is also easily jailbroken. I got one direct from a Japanese seller on eBay for under $100 (several years ago though).

THAT was a great little game! I burned Untold hours on my morning and evening commutes.

Be warned that neither sequel is as good:

PS3: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Untold_Legends:_Dark_Kingdom

I liked the PS3 Untold Legends. I own all of them though. I would love to get another game in the series or a spiritual successor.

Yeah, it was really weird, on paper BOTH of them should have been better. Not sure what happened there...

I haven't played that one but PSP is one of my favorite mobile gaming systems, so many good games and variety

[–] abbadon420@sh.itjust.works 2 points 4 days ago

Definitely needs some burnout legends

[–] zxcv@piefed.social 2 points 4 days ago

Wow I completely forgot about this game. 21 years ago damn...

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 1 points 4 days ago (1 children)

My favorite PSP game was, and still is, Work Time Fun.

[–] shiroininja@lemmy.world 1 points 4 days ago

I’ll check it out, thanks
