I feel like the downvoters simultaneously missed the title and didn't pick up on the fact that you're making fun of fascists.

But also, I feel like it may be a reaction to this phenomena where people make jokes like this not intending it to be serious, which also attracts people who take the joke seriously. Any thoughts on the matter are appreciated.

I mean, the thing is that this is sadly accurate to how the DSM-5 categorizes these. There is a singular category for Autism Spectrum Disorder but there is no singular category for Fascism-itis. Obviously, there are diagnoses for disorders that correlate with it, but it is not categorized or treated like an illness/disorder on its own.

tbf, there's increasing discussion of the possibility that what we regard as the autism spectrum is actually several, unrelated diagnoses with some amount of comorbidity.

Obviously this doesn't change life for people diagnosed as autistic all that much, but it is an interesting reminder that even our medical classifications are constantly refined in an attempt to hew closer to an objective (or at least objectively-based) truth.
