Russians bombing Soviet buildings is as absurd to me as Ukraine bombing them. Neither country in their current form would exist if I had my way, there would just be more Soviet buildings being constructed by Soviet engineers in the Ukrainian SSR which now looks like modern Chinese cities. I never saw the subreddit and literally started browsing chapo.chat in its infancy because I was already on lemmy. It's so impossible for this person to imagine the devs being passionate about decentralization and not about being on reddit that instead they've written a narrative where the developers get a working alpha running overnight because of some subreddit drama.
