Reminds me of the Simpsons episode "You Only Move Twice" where Homer moves the family to work for a supervillain (who Homer doesn't realize is a supervillain) but the guy unironically is an amazing boss and employer.

The first Austin Powers movie deleted scenes show Powers killing a henchman then it cuts to a woman at home or friends out celebrating a birthday when they get the call that their husband or friend was killed at work by a steamroller or laser sharks or whatever.

And none of the viewers thought to look in the mirror and ask - am I Homer? Just because your boss doesn't have a flamethrower doesn't mean the work isn't bad for the world.

Tbf, Homer's normal boss is the supervillain without the flamethrower. The Simpsons writers made that dichotomy explicit.

And they cut that last bit from the rerun?! Pfft. That's gold!

I mean this is kinda of in the movie "Brick Mansions". Henchmen telling the "bad guy" how many men he lost and his response is "make sure we send care packages to the families".
