Let me ask you. Have you interviewed Hamas? Have you interviewed Iranian officials and Iranian citizens? Did you travel to Cuba to deliver solar panels while Cuba is suffering energy shortages due to a blockade by the US? Ryan Grim did these things.

I don't think that you watched the video because the video is not about Ryan Grim having "good takes". His "takes" do not matter. The video is about Ryan Grim going on a trip to Cuba over the weekend with a group of 600 people to deliver aid such as solar panels and medicine, while Cuban people are being strangled by the United States blockade.

I don't give a single fuck what Ryan Grim thinks. I like that he publishes interviews with Hamas and Iranians and Cubans. I like that he publishes international perspectives which western media tries to suppress.

The conservative shit folds so quickly when it meets even mild but firm opposition. I'm pretty convinced there is going to be a leftward shift in the west in the next decade or so. Maybe I should take it easy on the hopium but I'm definitely not saying cool revolutionary shit will happen in the west. More like AOC could realistically be president.

it's still going to be lib asf till the very end but with China in the drivers' seat it might be game over in the long run. we aren't through the current gasp of fascism quite yet; they could go "cancel elections" mode in the US, which would not be healthy even from an anti-imperialist standpoint. There would be a certain irony in trump doing regime change (of sorts) in the US, but it's better if it just libs out and trips into it's decline without making a fuss (a world war).
