Wtf does "marked by the mystery of the Cross" mean? Is that a euphemism for "God didn't help her even though she begged Him and we just don't know why (but He obvi does real u guis believe me mysterious ways and all that)"?
Mildly Interesting
This is for strictly mildly interesting material. If it's too interesting, it doesn't belong. If it's not interesting, it doesn't belong.
This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?
Just post some stuff and don't spam.
Asking my Catholic dad he sent
The mystery of the cross lies in the paradox of divine love, where God uses the weakness of a death sentence to achieve salvation, and that God is not found in places of power, but when you are weak and despairing.
I was raised Catholic and I have no idea what that's supposed to mean. The usual word salad.
Got some real serious Blasphemous vibes from reading that part
Seems to be a euphemism for suffering.
"Dear God, please make the pain stop."
Oooh, a mystic. Why didn't she get morphine?
No shit.
If God exists, he's got a lot of fucking explaining to do when it comes to kids with cancer alone.
I personally wouldn't advertise a god letting a 6 year old child die slowly, nor celebrate a child begging for help that never came :(
What about letters to Santa Claus? I'm sure we could find a few kids who wrote a few hundred letters to Santa...
Fuck cancer in general, but also fuck the fact that pediatric bone cancer is s thing that is allowed to exist.
I kept coming back to this, not understanding and then I solved it. I know what happened. She wrote letters to everyone, that's where she went wrong. She obviously should've put all her faith in ONE of those people, trusting that help would come. Instead she was DOUBTFUL and hedged her bets! This is all on her, the filthy unbelieving sinner, so the fact that she gets a shrine is SUCH a kindness and she should be SO grateful in purgatory where she surely is!
