The aliens managing our region are only able to keep earth exclusive because of those voids. The voids are the "moat", as it were.

Our yearly porn output is through the roof! They make so much money off of it, they will never allow anyone mess with their golden goose. They don't want to stop this great gift that just keeps coming!
