only apply to TCM products that are injected intramuscularly or intravenously, not to the remedies widely taken by mouth

The potential harm from injections seems like a good reason to tackle them. I suspect wider TCM has too much support to be worth taking on.

In fairness, TCM has produced a nobel prize winning medicine, so forcing more legit research on it could produce some interesting results - in addition to dispelling a lot of potentially harmful nonsense.

In 2015, Tu Youyou won the nobel in medicine for a breakthrough anti-malarial drug her team discovered by compiling and testing tcm malarial remedies.
