If you're using uBlock on Firefox you can shift right click on it and then choose block in frame. Use the preview mode and move the sliders back and forth until you get your desired result.

Is this a browser? Mobile? If you're on Android, Morphe or Revanced can do this. But you need to download the manager and patch your own app. Do not directly download a patched version of YouTube.
Try find a client that can access the site but doesn't have all that extra crap
I have tried but didnt find one that works every time.. is there one that works best for you?
Also worth noting, what breaks for Youtube integration usually seems to be on Youtube's side, meaning every player is affected.
If you're on android this manager has a bunch of prepatched apps, be sure to install microG first.
