I’m waiting in line at this new viral sandwich place near where I’m working from today. The line was shorter than the vids I’ve seen of giant lines at this place, but it is moving kinda slow. I’ve commited now, gotta see it through. I usually refuse to wait in lines for food places and will choose the quicker option, I’ve remembered why today. Better be worth it.

All moaning aside, I’ve had a pint of Guinness (in increments, because Siobhan gives me a funny look if I go a whole one…I’m little! She has concerns!) and procured Mongolian beef noodles and spring rolls.

My weekend is starting as I’d like it to

Voice is locking back in finally.

Defs noticing a huge improvement in breath control since quitting vapes.

Looking forward to tomorrow night :)

I'm hoping the antihistamines do their job for the penicillin reaction I'm still going through otherwise I'm unlikely to make it. :`(

[–] Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Oh man I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope you'll be OK ❤️

Oh it's balls. Your post yesterday about heading to the hospital lined up with my reaction. I was pretty close to ubering to the emergency department. I got in touch with Nurse-on-Call first to see what they had to say. I wasn't getting any anaphylaxis, just covered in a sunburn like red rash. Which continues to suck, but isn't life threatening.

Cancelled plans for tomorrow to focus on a job application. My computer isn't playing nice and I'm trying not to stress about it, and take my time to get everything right.

When a mummy and Daddy love each other very much they may brib their daughter's friend to keep her out of the house for a few hours. Maybe enjoying some chicken wings and a few compliments.

Feels. Two teenage boys really put a crimp on erhem, shenanigans. Fortunately they liked to surf, so could be pointed at the ocean/bay for hours at a time. Which lasted until they got hungry, which was most of the time. I strongly recommend food rewards in such circumstances.

I'm pretty excited all the ads for Coffee are finally live. I'm excited to see how they perform. I just need to deal with all the weird shit facebook likes to turn on because it thinks it's best

I burnt the pies for tomorrow 🤬 unexpected item in daily itinerary

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

burnt tops or all over

cos you could just take the tops off

[–] Catfish@aussie.zone 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Tops mostly, but they are too mini for there to be anything left if I abbreviate them.

[–] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 3 points 1 month ago

Take the top off and make mini Shepard's pies?

[–] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 2 points 1 month ago

I use the nutmeg grinder to rasp them back.

The treadmill is now inside and unpacked. That counts as a workout in itself. Disposing of all the foam packing and the box it came in will also be a bit challenging. It folds away easily and neatly as advertised and can be moved fairly easily too. It seems solid and the belt is big enough I can run comfortably on it (for about 5 seconds, then exhaustion sets in). I probably should put shoes on if I want to do more than a very quick test though!

I still need to work out the best place to put it. At the moment I've got it under my desk, I'm not sure if it would be better to leave it there and move it if I want to sit at the desk, or to put it somewhere else entirely. I'll probably try a few different spots and then decide. It's very easy to move on the hard floor, fairly easy on a hard mat, and a bit hard on carpet as the wheels sink in and don't roll properly.

I hear PHM has a 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. I am so excited.

[–] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 2 points 1 month ago

I'm trying not to get too excited but I'm still really enjoying the book!

Mental healthYesterday was not a good day. Today isn’t either.

Cleaning

I’ve found a very cheap secondhand Woods lamp online and am having it delivered to a friend so it doesn’t get stolen.

Stubborn patches of vom are still glowing under the torch after being cleaned twice so I’ve applied the cleaner again. Maybe it’s because I rubbed excess off afterwards due to worrying about overwetting the carpet. It’s now been applied heavily and left to soak.

But am wondering if it might be better to switch products. The pet shop ones are so powerfully overscented though. A very popular brand gave Melbcat asthma attacks and me headaches/migraines.

Chip scanners

I’ve now found $20 and $30 microchip scanners online but don’t know how reliable they are. Or how reliable Sir Gadabout is either. Haven’t seen him.

Maybe I should leave it be. I just want to know if he’s chipped.
