The treadmill is now inside and unpacked. That counts as a workout in itself. Disposing of all the foam packing and the box it came in will also be a bit challenging. It folds away easily and neatly as advertised and can be moved fairly easily too. It seems solid and the belt is big enough I can run comfortably on it (for about 5 seconds, then exhaustion sets in). I probably should put shoes on if I want to do more than a very quick test though!

I still need to work out the best place to put it. At the moment I've got it under my desk, I'm not sure if it would be better to leave it there and move it if I want to sit at the desk, or to put it somewhere else entirely. I'll probably try a few different spots and then decide. It's very easy to move on the hard floor, fairly easy on a hard mat, and a bit hard on carpet as the wheels sink in and don't roll properly.

Mental healthGrief > rage > slamming hand into wall. Yesterday was not a good day. Today isn’t either.

At least I knew not to punch.

Cleaning

I’ve found a very cheap secondhand Woods lamp online and am having it delivered to a friend so it doesn’t get stolen.

Stubborn patches of vom are still glowing under the torch after being cleaned twice so I’ve applied the cleaner again. Maybe it’s because I rubbed excess off afterwards due to worrying about overwetting the carpet. It’s now been applied heavily and left to soak.

But am wondering if it might be better to switch products. The pet shop ones are so powerfully overscented though. A very popular brand gave Melbcat asthma attacks and me headaches/migraines.

Chip scanners

I’ve now found $20 and $30 microchip scanners online but don’t know how reliable they are. Or how reliable Sir Gadabout is either. Haven’t seen him.

Maybe I should leave it be. I just want to know if he’s chipped.

Cancelled plans for tomorrow to focus on a job application. My computer isn't playing nice and I'm trying not to stress about it, and take my time to get everything right.

Downloading Diablo II: Resurrected, and I see that ActiBlizzFuckers are selling the Warlock class for $40 AUD. That's insane. Idc if it's a remaster or remake whatever, DII came out a billion years ago in gaming years, and they're shilling a forty buck DLC for it.

Insanity. This is why I buy small indie games if I buy any at all.

When a mummy and Daddy love each other very much they may brib their daughter's friend to keep her out of the house for a few hours. Maybe enjoying some chicken wings and a few compliments.

Feels. Two teenage boys really put a crimp on erhem, shenanigans. Fortunately they liked to surf, so could be pointed at the ocean/bay for hours at a time. Which lasted until they got hungry, which was most of the time. I strongly recommend food rewards in such circumstances.

I am a little tipsy but stuff it. I am ordering one more wine and a packet of salt and vinegar chips for dinner. I have just slipped into relaxed for the first time this week and I am going with it (that's ok right?)

I think beer glasses around 750mls need to be more common. A single can or bottle isn't enough, a pint can't hold two cans, and a stein is too big

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 points 1 hour ago

For me a pint is just right especially when they pop the heating up so you drink more.

Riiiiight. Its officially drink o'clock. Not a beer fan myself, but here's some for all you pisspots out there. 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺 and a glass of wine for the more civilized inhabitants of the DT 🍷 Be nice and share.

I'm hoping the antihistamines do their job for the penicillin reaction I'm still going through otherwise I'm unlikely to make it. :`(

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 2 hours ago

you take care, have lots of rest

sending lots of healing vibes

[–] Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 2 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Oh man I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope you'll be OK ❀️

[–] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 3 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Oh it's balls. Your post yesterday about heading to the hospital lined up with my reaction. I was pretty close to ubering to the emergency department. I got in touch with Nurse-on-Call first to see what they had to say. I wasn't getting any anaphylaxis, just covered in a sunburn like red rash. Which continues to suck, but isn't life threatening.

Looks like we both drew the short straw man. I'm glad it wasn't anaphylaxis. Whole other set of problems.

[–] Alamutjones@aussie.zone 3 points 3 hours ago

All moaning aside, I’ve had a pint of Guinness (in increments, because Siobhan gives me a funny look if I go a whole one…I’m little! She has concerns!) and procured Mongolian beef noodles and spring rolls.

My weekend is starting as I’d like it to

According to Kogan my treadmill was shipped today and could take up to 2 weeks to arrive. According to my camera it is sitting at my front door.

[–] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 3 points 9 hours ago

Yay treadmill!

[–] calhoon2005@aussie.zone 7 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

I’m waiting in line at this new viral sandwich place near where I’m working from today. The line was shorter than the vids I’ve seen of giant lines at this place, but it is moving kinda slow. I’ve commited now, gotta see it through. I usually refuse to wait in lines for food places and will choose the quicker option, I’ve remembered why today. Better be worth it.

Oh my god it was honestly SOOO GOOD

(it was ok, not worth the hour wait from lining up to getting the food)

[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 4 points 7 hours ago

An hour to wait for a sandwich?

Oh hell no.

Glad it was okay at least.

[–] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 6 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

So there are renos on one side of me and the new place going on the other.

Tradies on both sides have their radios on the same station.

I can't do 180 degrees of backstreet boys I want it that way at 8am.
