This is what vassal behavior actually looks like, for those interested!

No i think vassal behavior looks like dragging your overlord into a war with predictable consequences (the complete destruction of that overlord's military, international standing, and framework for empire) while facing no consequences from said overlord, not even a mild reproach

Edit: and then when that overlord's officials describe events they frame it like "[vassal] was going to carry out a strike and we had to support it" as if its actions are an uncontrollable force of nature

This one says more about the Amerikkkan officials than "Israel". They planned this together, if the yankees didn't want "Israel" to strike they shouldn't have moved all their assets into place to support them (and by "support them" I mean "strike together with them"). The only reason they're claiming this now is a weak attempt at blame-shifting.

Yep, totally normal behavior of a vassal state that definitely has no control over its overlord

Just a month ago we saw the (temporary) end of Trump trying to take Greenland; only a short while later and they're back to being the baying dogs of empire. Much like anti-government Iranians, they won't believe it'll be them one day as well until Trump or the next war criminal in chief is literally doing to them what we're doing to the people of Iran. Even the Iranian diaspora is like "Wait, you're not supposed to be attacking people, I thought you were the good guys, you never ever ever hurt civilians ever ever before, where is this coming from?"

The Iranian ambassador clearly tried to communicate that to them at the UN; I personally have my doubts it'll reach them, but let's see if they've achieved sentience.
