I raised this issue on Twitter. […] Grok was able to answer in the affirmative.
So you got a racist slot machine to agree with you? That’s the opposite of a convincing argument.
Welcome to c/news! We aim to foster a book-club type environment for discussion and critical analysis of the news. Our policy objectives are:
To learn about and discuss meaningful news, analysis and perspectives from around the world, with a focus on news outside the Anglosphere and beyond what is normally seen in corporate media (e.g. anti-imperialist, anti-Zionist, Marxist, Indigenous, LGBTQ, people of colour).
To encourage community members to contribute commentary and for others to thoughtfully engage with this material.
To support healthy and good faith discussion as comrades, sharpening our analytical skills and helping one another better understand geopolitics.
We ask community members to appreciate the uncertainty inherent in critical analysis of current events, the need to constantly learn, and take part in the community with humility. None of us are the One True Leftist, not even you, the reader.
Newcomm and Newsmega Rules:
The Hexbear Code of Conduct and Terms of Service apply here.
Link titles: Please use informative link titles. Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed.
Content warnings: Posts on the newscomm and top-level replies on the newsmega should use content warnings appropriately. Please be thoughtful about wording and triggers when describing awful things in post titles.
Fake news: No fake news posts ever, including April 1st. Deliberate fake news posting is a bannable offense. If you mistakenly post fake news the mod team may ask you to delete/modify the post or we may delete it ourselves.
Link sources: All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. If you are citing a Twitter post as news, please include the Xcancel.com (or another Nitter instance) or at least strip out identifier information from the twitter link. There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance, such as Libredirect or archive them as you would any other reactionary source.
Archive sites: We highly encourage use of non-paywalled archive sites (i.e. archive.is, web.archive.org, ghostarchive.org) so that links are widely accessible to the community and so that reactionary sources don’t derive data/ad revenue from Hexbear users. If you see a link without an archive link, please archive it yourself and add it to the thread, ask the OP to fix it, or report to mods. Including text of articles in threads is welcome.
Low effort material: Avoid memes/jokes/shitposts in newscomm posts and top-level replies to the newsmega. This kind of content is OK in post replies and in newsmega sub-threads. We encourage the community to balance their contribution of low effort material with effort posts, links to real news/analysis, and meaningful engagement with material posted in the community.
American politics: Discussion and effort posts on the (potential) material impacts of American electoral politics is welcome, but the never-ending circus of American Politics© Brought to You by Mountain Dew™ is not welcome. This refers to polling, pundit reactions, electoral horse races, rumors of who might run, etc.
Electoralism: Please try to avoid struggle sessions about the value of voting/taking part in the electoral system in the West. c/electoralism is right over there.
AI Slop: Don't post AI generated content. Posts about AI race/chip wars/data centers are fine.

Ugh, grok even did the math it seems, should've read the comments before the article.
let's go gambling
Grok was able to answer in the affirmative.

let's see what are Ja Rule's thoughts on this
What's with the Grok reference. I don't know this guy well enough to tell if that's a bit
lol I have no idea, I kinda thought that was unnecessary, I just liked the article because it showed how badly the yanks are eating shit.
"It will destroy the Trump presidency; it will destroy the GOP for a generation; and it would finally end the entrapment of the United States by its junior geopolitical ally."
".. .Grok was able to answer in the affirmative"
Got it, the military ist under funded. Cut social spending and raise taxes. Send the teachers to the democracy bomber factories. This message sponsored by all elected repräsentatives.
Gulf monarchies already crumbling, supply chain aftershocks inbound. Iran just needs to hold on, U.S. needs to hold the world economy together.
What was that quote? US needs to be lucky everyday, Iran just needs to be lucky once
Oh please please land troops on Kharg Island I want to see a burning Wasp-class Assault ship live on cnn
lol there's so many comments on this article, and apparently one is by a nazi substack: https://substack.com/@natsoctoday1 I never really got into substack and didn't realize it was a place where actual literal nazis are posting too
The owner of substack is a zionist, but it be what it be, at least they aren't censoring communists
"THAAD's gotta hurt."
(More) Proof positive of America being an unreliable partner who will always put Israel's whims above all others in the region is a crushing defeat that will echo for decades regardless of the outcome of this illegal war.
I question the long-term capability to keep making drones without support from Russia and China (which is probable).
How long is "long-term"?
Iran specifically has built up its local infrastructure to make the drones as locally as possible. The Iridium network stuff for remote control of the drones, is so small that it shouldn't be that hard to either smuggle in more or have stockpiled a fuck-ton of em already.
If "long-term" is years? Then sure, outside support is necessary. But I don't think the USA/Israel can keep this up the assault for years.
If "long-term" is months to a year, Iran is probably very okay. (Outside of some incredibly lucky conventional strike by USA/Israel or a Israel starts using nukes and trying to glass Iranian civilian population centers.)
In order to achieve the same force-to-space or the same force-to-population ratio as Iraq, the US will have to deploy 600,000-1,000,000 troops.
Strongest argument that they'll need a draft that I've seen
Generals at the time of the 2003 Iraq invasion said they'd need 4 million US troops to occupy the country when we had only 4 million troops worldwide. Bush still went ahead with it and killed a bunch of Iraqis anyway without doing a draft.
This is why I worry about tactical nukes. It's the only quick way to end the war on favourable terms for the US/Israel.
Even that won't be so favourable...
Everyone will scramble to get nukes.
As I shall now prove mathematically
a^2^ + b^2^ = death to amerikkka^2^
