If I had to narrow it down to a specific set of all those suggested here, I'd say:

Ugh okay, it looks like the edits I've made haven't synced.
It looks like updates to the community info aren't federating from changes I make on piefed.blahaj.zone.
I'll get in touch with this server's admin to see if she can help.
I've read that in some cases you need an account on the same instance as the community, to do certain mod actions. (i.e. you might need to make an account on lemmy.world and give it mod status).
Yeah the admins of my instance also advised that. Off to create another Lemmy account I guess...
