Hello fellow Far Side fans!
About this community and how I post the comic strip… Many moons ago, I would ask my Dad to save the newspaper for me everyday so I could read my favorite comic strips and one of those was The Far Side. These days of course you find just about anything online including www.thefarside.com where they post several comics a day and I repost them here. Just to note, the date you see in my posts is not the initial release date, but the date they were posted on the website.
The Far Side is a single-panel comic created by Gary Larson and syndicated by Chronicle Features and then Universal Press Syndicate, which ran from December 31, 1979, to January 1, 1995 (when Larson retired as a cartoonist). Too bad being a compulsive thinker was the opposite reason why her dad got her lobotomized.

No just speaking the facts, I never met Rose Kennedy in person but her father seemed to think that she was a bit mentally slower than the rest of the Kennedy kids and he thought a lobotomy would help her become more genius like the rest of the Kennedy kids, but obviously it didn't work.
Yah, that's the straight story as I understand it.
I'm no expert, but from what I understand, Rosemary was probably just a bit different, like in being somewhat 'on the spectrum' or having ADHD, or whatnot. Something which wouldn't necessarily impede her in life as a fully-realised human being, if her underlying difference could have been understand and respected.
But... of course, that was all pretty much mumbo-jumbo back when she lived. Joe Kennedy might have been a complete bastard, or someone acting in good faith, or some combo of the two. Like I say, I'm no expert!

I don't particularly enjoy sharing that horror story, but life is life, and I feel like we must not let that happen again.
If compulsive eaters can reduce weight by Sleeve gastrectomy, the same must also be true for compulsive thinkers and their brains.
The tool they use to make the staples on the sleeve is the coolest tool. It cuts and staples and cauterizes all at the same time.
