My first impression on playing the demo is that there's really something special about this one, both in terms of the writing and the gameplay.

I played the demo and I was very, very impressed. It's really fun and well written, and feels much closer in spirit to Disco Elysium than Zero Parades.
Zero Parades
I didn't know the demo for that was out!
it is, and it's an incredibly mid game, feels like a poor copy of Disco while Esoteric Ebb feels fresh, exciting and like it goes beyond being just a "Disco-like", for lack of a better term
heard chef, just doesn't have that sauce.
I gotta admit i lost track of the DE "spiritual successors", is this related to a fraction of the original staff in any way like the other 4 games i can think of or is that an entirely unrelated studio making a disco-like?
Completely unrelated; just some person who liked Disco and made a game.
Man, it's been a while since I bought a game on launch day.
Oh this looked very good when I checked it out. I’ll likely be buying
The description reads like a Planescape Torment × Disco Elysium thing
Plus a healthy dose of Terry Pratchett.
Looks really quite promising.
